It was earlier called as Bombay, it is comprised of seven islands, however at present it is no more an island it is like a peninsula. After independence Mumbai slowly rose to an economic power and today it is the most outstanding city in the republic of India. It is a one of the biggest and the best cities of the world, a sort of Gateway of India and the East.
